After gaining popularity on the iOS platform, Popcap Games’ tower defense action title is all set to entice Android users. Plants vs. Zombie has been launched for Xbox Live on Windows Phone 7. The game will also allow enthusiasts to compare scores by Xbox Live leaderboards.

It comes with features like an Adventure mode, Zen garden, mini-games from the PC version, Vasebreaker and iZombie modes. The title offers an Xbox Live connection for viewing leaderboards and achievements of other players and is equipped with EFIGS language support.

“Our support of Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone is an important move given the mobile gaming capabilities and reach of this powerful operating system. Plants vs. Zombies for Xbox LIVE on Windows Phone will push the boundaries of mobile gaming, tying directly into Xbox LIVE leaderboards and achievements to provide a more competitive experience for gamers on-the-go. In true PopCap tradition, with this adaptation, we’re offering fans and aficionados something completely unique to the platform,” mentioned Andrew Stein, senior director of mobile platforms at PopCap Games.

The game features a homeowner who lays different types of plants and fungi around the house with the aim to fend off a mob of zombies that are about to invade his home. Users can utilize peashooters, wall-nuts, cherry bombs and many more plants to keep zombies away from the front door. The zombies move towards the house in horizontal lanes and change lanes to avoid plants.

Plants vs. Zombies for Windows Phone 7 is priced at $4.99.
