Pharos Science & Applications unveils its Windows phone namely the Traveler 137. It is first to provide 3G data speeds on both the T-Mobile and the AT&T Wireless network.

This latest sleek phone measures 4.60x 2.4 x 0.51mm and weighs 4.9 ounces. It sports a 3.5” TFT LCD screen that comprises of 65K colors. The screen has the touch panel feature and a 480×800 wide-VGA. It is integrated with a 3 megapixel camera for pictures and videos. In addition to this, the phone has a 0.3 megapixel camera on the front side for video conference.

The phone is embedded with v2.1Bluetooth, EDR and FM tuner. The phone is GPS compatible and supports 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. It comprise of 2 USB ports, a microSD slot that supports SDHC and a stereo audio jack. It has a rechargeable and replaceable 1380 mAh Li-Ion battery. The handset offers a talktime of up to 7 hours on GSM, 5 hours on the 3G network and 200 hours of standby.

The phone allows users to make use of local GSM SISM cards all over the world and also reduces international roaming charges. The handset offers the Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional which can be updated to Windows Mobile 6.5.

It includes the Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528MHz processor. It has 256MB of DDR SDRAM memory with 512MB Flash Rom. The phone supports the quad band 50/900/1800/1900 MHz GSM network along with EDGE/GPRS, Tri band 3G, 1700/1900/2100 MHz, UMTS up to 384Kb/s, 72 Mb/s HSDPA and the 2Mb/s HSUPA.

The Traveler 137 is currently offered for a price of $599.95 via Amazon.com, Dell.com, eXpansys.com and Newegg.com. By signing a new T-Mobile two-year contract, users can get a $250 discount on the phone.
