PCMag intros iPhone app

PCMag iPhone App iPhone owners yearning to brush their tech-vocabulary can now lay their hands on an innovative app introduced by PCMag in association with Computer Language Company. The iPhone app seems to be a mobile version of its online Tech Encyclopedia.

Just like its web version even the iPhone app features 25,000 tech terms, all searchable by name, in an easy-to-browse alphabetical format. The PCMag app is inclusive of cross links to relevant terms and images which can be explored to study in detail.

The app sports both portrait and landscape viewing modes and also features phonetic search support. Interestingly, the PCMag app does not need Internet connection. The geeky app covers diverse topics including Windows, Mac, Linux, Internet, Web, networking, wireless, broadband, mobile, home theater, acronyms, buzzwords, trends, hot topics and many more. Further, free definition updates for a year are also offered.

For a limited time period, until the end of this year, the PCMag app can be downloaded for $1.99. The usual price of the app is around $4.99 and it is compatible with the iPhone, iPhone 3G and 3GS.
