PayMate and Standard Chartered Bank have come together to offer secure and simple mobile payment services. Payments via mobile phones are one of the best alternatives that help people to have secure and quick transactions.

With the approval of mobile payment process by RBI, more than 2.5 lakh mobile banking customers of the standard chartered bank will be able to take complete advantage of the PayMate service. PayMate enables users to link their mobile phones to an existing bank account or prepaid voucher that allows them to make payments anytime and anywhere.

The Standard Chartered customers will now be able to pay for a host of products and services like bill payments, online purchase, mobile recharge, retail shopping at over 13, 000, movie and flight tickets from their phones itself.

The entire transaction process is secured with 2-factor M-PIN authentication. The PIN is never saved anywhere in the device and ensures complete security of the transaction. Moreover, the PayMate process does not reveal any financial details during the transaction process and it happens over a simple IVR call.
