AT&T has announced another messaging phone known as the Pantech Matrix Pro phone. The new mobile phone is the successor of the Pantech Duo phone and will surely entice users who require a true texting phone.

The Pantech Matrix Pro equips dual sliding keyboards, QWERTY and numeric keypad that enables easy and precise typing. The phone is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and features a 2.4 inch QVGA display screen. It also incorporates a 2 megapixel camera with 4x digital zoom feature and video recording capabilities.

The Matrix Pro phone integrates a 5-way navigation key that will allow users to immediately access the important functions and applications. For complete entertainment the phone includes a MP3 player that supports music formats such as AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, Real and Windows Media Player. It also includes AT&T’s Mobile Music, MobiTV, WM DRM, Play4sure and CV-video.

In addition to this, the Pantech Matrix Pro phone is also bundled with various other features such as Bluetooth connectivity, GPS support for navigation, microSD expansion card upto 32GB, Voice Command for Voice dialing, Direct Push Technology, Xpress Mail and Microsoft Direct Push technology.

The Pantech Matrix Pro phone will be available from February 24, 2009 for $179.99 after $50 mail in rebate and a two year service agreement.
