The Calendar, Phone, Messaging, and Email apps have been improved with new attributes to simplify general tasks. In the Phone app, the Call log delivers numerous alternatives to effortlessly connect to a contact. Moreover, there are a few new shortcuts to enable moving from one app to another.

The LED in the gesture region now lights up and pulses if users have a notification. This is possible even when the screen in switched off. Users can personalize notification sounds in Messaging, Email and Calendar. Furthermore, there seems to be new notification sounds in the ringtones library to offer more personalized alternative to the alert.

The phones may mechanically update in some days, once the Palm webOS 1.4 is accessible on the carriers. Users can also activate the update by means of the Updates app.
