Palm makes a big announcement; it is introducing its own Software Store for its smartphones. The company is launching an on-device application store just like the App Store.
The Palm customers can browse and download third party applications from this store. The users can now download wide variety of applications for phones based on Windows operating system and the Palm operating system. Palm can start off this store with 1500 applications. Download and browse over 5000 games and applications, in addition to it there are around 1000 free applications. The mobile Software Store supports over 25 Palm devices.
Palm has teamed up with PocketGear to launch the store. It will give away 50% of revenue to its developers and the other 50% of revenue will be utilized by Palm.
