A week ago, the Windows Phone 7 opened the gates for consumers to come and experience its magic on several smartphones. Two such handsets the HTC 7 Mozart and the Samsung Omnia 7 were going to come through Orange. The carrier has now announced its plans to launch these two beauties by October 21, 2010.
Operating on the Windows Phone 7 OS, they will be equipped with quick-link access to the Orange applications and services including Orange Wednesdays, Orange Maps, Your Orange and Orange Daily. These will be displayed on the platform’s panoramic tile homescreen.

The Windows Phone 7 Marketplace is integrated with the ‘Orange Selects’ which is a collective place wherein apps developed by Orange and selected publishers, will be enlisted. Moreover, beginning from early 2011, the software purchases will be charged directly to users’ Orange bills. The HTC 7 Mozart adorns a 3.7″ WVGA super LCD display and is powered by a 1GHz processor. Fitted with an 8 megapixel camera proffering Dolby sound, the smartphone comes with a 35 pounds per month 24 month price plan.
On the other hand, the Samsung Omnia 7 loaded with a 4.0″ Super AMOLED touch screen and 1GHz processor can be procured by paying 40 pounds per month, 24 month price plan. At the time of the launch of Orange’s HTC 7 Mozart, mobile aficionados can avail assistance from Orange Personal Trainers.
