Oppo Find 7 quad HD smartphone launching in India by mid-2014

The Oppo Find 7 with a quad HD touchscreen, is expected to see an India launch by mid-2014, not long after or around the same time as its release in China. Apart from this, the company has also opened up about plans to introduce more mobile devices in the country, though it has not named any of these forthcoming additions to its portfolio.

If you want to assume that the Oppo Find 7a which is available for pre-order in the US and Europe, will be part of the upcoming releases, go ahead. It’s actually the 1080p full HD version of the same phone. Quad HD essentially means that the handset will deliver visuals in an impressive 1440 x 2560p or 2K resolution.

The quad HD Oppo smartphone is superior to its cousin on a couple of counts apart from the screen – The former has 3GB and not 2GB of RAM. It also boasts of a slightly larger 3000mAh battery and a quad core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor. The device’s highlighted feature is its 13MP rear camera which allows users to take 50MP photos courtesy of a Super Zoom mode.

The snapper gets its virtues from a Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor and an aperture of f/2.0. The Super Zoom mode we mentioned above actually clicks 10 photographs and merges them into a single 50MP one. You can also look forward to capturing 720p slow motion videos at 120fps or 4K clips. The front panel plays host to a 5MP webcam.
