GSmart S1200 handset users are in for quite some treat as Gigabyte has chosen Opera Mobile 9.5 to power the ‘Hami’ widget service on the device. Created by Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Hami provides local, online information instantly to the GSmart screen.
Now, with Opera Mobile 9.5, GSmart S1200 users can flick through the Web with a full featured browser. All that is required is one-click to effortlessly log on to news, live stock quotes, weather, native search engines, and other online services.

In future, Hami is all set to expand its offer to paid services like e-book stores. At present Hami can be used by three main smartphone operating systems. They are namely iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile.
New consignments of the GSmart S1200 would be available with a preinstalled version of Opera Mobile 9.5. For present GSmart S1200 users, Opera Mobile 9.5 can now be accessible through a firmware download from gigabytecm.com.
