OnePlus Pad Could Be Coming Early Next Year

OnePlus Watch Teaser

A OnePlus Pad tablet is reportedly in the works from the Chinese company and is expected to be released in the first half of 2022. This will mark one more segment into which OnePlus will be taking a dip, after making major forays into TV and earphone markets.

The company is currently readying its OnePlus 10 smartphone series for a release early next year. However, the report mentions that the OnePlus Pad won’t launch alongside these devices, which are expected to debut on January 5 during CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

This information has come via tipster Mukul Sharma who has released it alongside 91Mobiles. While no details about this OnePlus Pad have been mentioned as of now, it is being said that multiple models of it will be released in China, while one model will make its way into India.

Back in 2019, the company launched its OnePlus TV in the form of the premium Q1 and Q1 Pro models that offered 4K-resolution QLED panels along with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, as well as HDR10 compatibility. Since then, OnePlus has launched TVs in multiple price brackets.

Apart from phones and TVs, OnePlus has also made a major push in the earphones game in recent years. The latest OnePlus Buds Pro earbuds offer adaptive noise cancellation and 38 hours of battery life.

After the triumph of the OnePlus 9 range, the company is all set to release its successors. The OnePlus 10 series phones will most likely be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Leaks have revealed that the Pro model might ship with a 6.7-inch 120Hz QHD+ display, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

We’ll have more on the OnePlus Pad and the OnePlus 10 series as soon as we hear new info about the two.
