OnePlus 5 with dual-camera setup, 8GB RAM launched

The OnePlus 5 has officially gotten unveiled after a never-ending stream of leaks and teasers revealed pretty much everything there was to know about the phone. The handset is now due to arrive in India on June 22 with only local price details left to be confirmed.

The OnePlus 5 will set buyers back by $479 (approx Rs 30960) for the 6GB/64GB Slate Gray version and $539 (about Rs 34830) for the 8GB/128GB Midnight Black one. The 8GB of RAM is a major highlight, rare as it is in smartphones nowadays. This combined with the Snapdragon 835 processor and faster UFS 2.1 two-lane storage should translate to a blazing fast performance.

The OnePlus 5’s other big talking point is of course its dual cameras. The setup is made up of a 16MP and 20MP Telephoto lens. The two combined bring forth tools like Portrait Mode to blur out the background and keep the foreground in focus. Users can now play around with an all-new Pro Mode that lets them adjust factors like ISO.
