Olive Telecom adds to the Gingerbread fervor with some enticing news for smartphone users in India. The company has now launched the OliveSmart V-S300 as India’s first HSPA+ Gingerbread smartphone. It has been powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon MSM8255 processor and runs on the Android 2.3 platform.
This elegant handset offers a 3G experience and has features like a 5 megapixel camera, 32GB expandable memory and a 1400mAh battery backup to up its ante. Apart from a proximity sensor Bluetooth v2.1, the OliveSmart also has a 4.1” multi-touch capacitive touchscreen. Weighing 9.9mm, this ultra-slim device is integrated with the Adreno 205 graphics engine, 3G HSPA+ support and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Claimed to be the first 3G HSPA+ smartphone by an Indian brand, the phone is spruced up by advanced features like Adobe Flash (10.1), DLNA and HD video. With a highly innovative approach, the device is designed to offer high resolution graphics and crystal clear HD voice. In addition to housing a whole range of advanced services like Digital compass, Live TV and E-book reader, the handset empowers its owners with web browsing, multi-touch interface and smooth texting.
The OliveSmart V-S300 hits Indian shores for less than Rs. 20,000.
