O2 to offer Toshiba TG01, again

Toshiba TG01 Phone O2 is currently offering the TG01 phone by Toshiba. It is known that some time back the carrier had decided to put a halt on sales of the phone. The reason for such a drastic move was the discovery of a virus in various units of the device, reports Mobilewhack.

However, it seems that the problem has been solved and the handset is available again on the network provider’s website. It functions on the latest chipset technology and possesses 1GHz processing power as an exclusive feature. This will provide users with speedy and uninterrupted internet connectivity. The handset sports 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution and 256MB RAM. Offering A-GPS facilities and Wi-Fi capabilities, it supports UMTS/HSPA connectivity.

Premium video playback and 3D gaming functionalities are also integrated by the device. It incorporates a 10mm thick 3.2 megapixel camera and is compatible with the Windows Mobile 6.5. The company has designed its own UI comprising of WM6.1.

Users can order the Snapdragon/WinMo-powered phone online. However, there is no information if retail shops will offer this device. German customers will be offered the TG01 phone by Toshiba shortly.
