Gamers perusing through numerous sources to lay their hands on the most interesting and challenging games available can a take look at this new offering. Nvidia has announced that its Tegra Zone app will now be available in the Android Market for Tegra-powered phones and tablets. The app is said to be a one stop shop offering numerous titles for gamers the world over.

The app provides a collection of Tegra processor-optimized games, high-resolution screenshots and gameplay videos. Viewing expert game reviews and behind-the-scenes featurettes are also made possible by the app. The titles featured on the Tegra Zone app are exclusively enhanced for Tegra 2 super chip-based devices. These included titles are now more interactive and realistic with accelerated geometry detail, high resolution textures and added instances of independent animations.

“We’re working with game developers and publishers to turbocharge mobile gaming for Android super phones and tablets. Our goal is to bring a console- class gaming experience to super phones and tablets and bring the generation of gaming to the future of mobile devices. Tegra Zone is a free app we’ve built so gamers can find great games for Tegra in one easy place,” shared Tony Tamasi, Senior Vice President, Content and Technology at Nvidia.

Nvidia has joined hands with many game developers to provide various titles such as Dungeon Defenders: First Wave Deluxe HD, Galaxy on Fire 2 THD, Fruit Ninja THD and Monster Madness amongst others via the app. The Tegra 2 super chip employs a dual-core CPU which offers seamless web access, multitasking capabilities and full support for Adobe Flash player. For providing visually gorgeously graphics, the chip also includes an Nvidia GeForce GPU.

Nvidia’s free Tegra Zone app is up for downloading via the Android Market.
