Typing long documents is certainly tedious and those working with speech-to-text software will surely know of the benefits. Naunce Communications updated its speech recognition software to reveal Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 and the new Dragon Remote Mic App that transforms the iPhone into a wireless microphone. The duo combine to provide a fast and easy way of interacting with the PC.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 works in conjunction with the Dragon Remote Mic App to create documents, send e-mails, surf the web, share social status and to interact with other PC applications. Once the software is installed, the PC acquires voice commands from the iPhone app that captures them like a microphone via the same Wi-Fi network connection. Users just have to give word commands and the PC executes the task. The software now comes with improved accuracy, faster performance and a new intuitive interface that offers accurate transcription.

Dragon 11.5 is upgraded with enhanced commands and social features that can be used for multiple tasks. Users can search websites, quote or bracket texts, search the desktop and navigate between windows by just speaking the desired command. Tasks that need multiple clicks and keystrokes can be integrated into a single voice command, making it easy and less time consuming.

“As mobile devices and social networks have become a more important part of our customers’ lives, they have asked us for more flexibility in how they can use Dragon,” mentioned Peter Mahoney, senior vice president and general manager, Dragon, Nuance. “People who have never tried Dragon before will be genuinely impressed with all the ways it lets you interact with your digital world. Those who are already familiar with Dragon will see some exciting improvements that extend its use with social sharing, and add flexibility with microphones and recording devices.”

The user interface helps users to recollect common commands and explore global, application specific and custom-made commands. The Vocabulary Editor and Command browser improves both writing content and readability. With smarter formatting, correcting and editing, users can apply changes to their mistakes automatically and also add phrases to their vocabulary by the Dragon Correction Menu.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.5 is priced at $99.99 and $199.99 for the Home and Premium editions respectively.
