Nothing Phone 2a’s Latest Update Brings ChatGPT Integration And More

Nothing Phone 2a

The Nothing Phone 2a has been in the market for quite some time now and its makers have just showered it with an interesting new update. The latest software on this device has introduced ChatGPT integration that allows users to access the AI service using the company’s earphones.

The Nothing Phone 2a runs on Nothing OS 2.5, which is based on Android 14. The newly released update is titled Nothing OS 2.5.5a and allows users to ask questions to ChatGPT using Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A true wireless earphones.

They will be able to use the Nothing X application on their handsets to customise a gesture that will start a direct voice conversation with ChatGPT. The company has said that it’s working on making this feature available on other Nothing audio products as well.

This ChatGPT integration will allow owners of the Nothing Phone 2a to use the service almost like a virtual assistant. The Nothing OS 2.5.5a update even comes with new ChatGPT widgets that can be added to the home screen for easy access.

Additionally, some camera improvements have also made their way into the software. Photos clicked via the main camera will now have more colour consistency and will even get improved portrait brightness in HDR scenes.

The Nothing Phone 2a was launched in March with the Mediatek Dimensity 7200 Pro chipset at its heart. It’s got a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits of peak brightness. The phone’s other big highlight is its 50MP + 50MP dual camera setup.

The new update for the Nothing Phone 2a is being rolled out right now so you should probably see a notification to download it soon.
