Nokia’s first Windows RT tablet launched, dubbed Lumia 2520

The Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT tablet has been unveiled at the company’s event held in Abu Dhabi today and we wonder if it will click with the users or not, considering that not many RT slates have managed to impress them. Apart from this gadget, the Finnish manufacturer released three Asha phones and two phablets – Lumia 1320 and Lumia 1520.

A number of proprietary applications can be found in the tablet along with games like Dragons Adventure. For snap-happy customers, Nokia has pre-loaded Storyteller that allows them to relive their images as well as Video Director for enhancing and editing their video clippings. Most other utilities like Here Maps, Nokia Music, Mix Radio and various other camera apps that commonly come with Lumia phones are also installed in this slate.

Like a number of other Windows tablet, the Lumia 2520 comes with a keyboard dock too. It goes by the name of Nokia Power Keyboard. In addition to facilitating typing, it boosts the battery life of the tablet with extra usage time of 5 hours and provides two USB ports. And the dock also doubles up as a wraparound cover.

Its estimated price is $499 and the Nokia Power Keyboard will cost $149. It should start shipping in this quarter and will initially be made available in the US, the UK and Finland.
