The update however is noted to be in the beta format and still in the development stage for the time being.
As the official Nokia Beta Labs page reveals, the software update is now available for the community and takes the form of a simple application. Through the latest entrant, users can acquire new device software updates. Although the software is in beta form, mobile phone enthusiasts can still update to all the latest versions of core software and apps.
While updating, the company cautions users against discounting the cable or switching off the device. By doing this, their handset might stop working altogether. With the latest unfurling, Nokia N97 owners can also update their device through OS X.
The company further discloses that users after updating their device can convey their feedback via the forum. Taking all critical suggestions into consideration, Nokia is slated to make amendments or additions to the actual release but until then, the trial offering will continue to be available for handset owners.
