Nokia RX-114 may be launched this September

The buzz around town is that the Nokia RX-114 will receive official recognition as early as September 26 or 27 through an event in New York City. This news comes even before the dust around the Nokia Lumia 1020 can settle down. For those who are in the dark about the product in question, it is said to be the company’s upcoming Windows RT tablet.

From what can be gathered, the Finnish manufacturer has plans to host a major release in each quarter of this year, a post on Windows Phone Central has noted. It went on to add that the company seems to have stuck to this pattern so far, especially since the Lumia 925 was unveiled in May followed by the 1020 last month.

Nokia Event Details

Seen above is a screenshot of what happen to be details of the forthcoming event in NYC, rendering leverage to this bit of information. Not much is known about the Nokia RX-114 when it comes to the tablet’s technical specifications. Based on our previous report, we can say that the device’s screen encompasses a 1371 x 771p resolution, while the aforementioned website’s source has claimed the gadget to flaunt an 11-inch display.

Apparently, the slate houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset featuring a quad core configuration. If this tidbit is proven true, then naturally Adreno 330 graphics will also form a part of the whole ecosystem. And as we have mentioned earlier, the slab is supposed to run on Windows RT, albeit the OS’ upcoming 8.1 RTM version.

Learning the RX-114 handset’s price at this point is a little unlikely. In other news, the manufacturer may also have a 6-inch phablet up its sleeve, due in the fourth quarter of this year.
