The Nokia Luna Bluetooth headset is the latest gadget to come from the Finnish company, unveiled alongside the Nokia 603 handset. Taking a look at what the company had to offer in the recent days, it seems like Nokia is definitely in a mood to splash some vibrant colors.

The Luna sports an interesting two-part design. The ear piece is fitted into the body by a pop-up mechanism. When users push the headset into the body, it pops out. It sports an in-ear design which is also supposed to enhance the noise reduction feature of the device.

The design not only makes up the aesthetics of this gadget, but also takes care of connectivity with users’ handsets. When taken out from the base part, the headset is automatically works towards the Bluetooth connection with the handset. On the other hand, when popped back into the body, it disconnects the Bluetooth connection and thus stops any ongoing calls as well.

Separately, the ear-piece weighs a measly 5g while the holder comes to 18.3g. In terms of connectivity, the device supports Bluetooth specification 2.1 with enhanced data rate, Handsfree profile 1.5 and Headset Profile 1.1 advanced multipoint. The headset connects simultaneously to two different handsets.

Furthermore, this device is compatible with NFC technology. So if users own an NFC enabled handset, all they have to do to connect is just a tap the headset and phone. Available in six vivacious colors like black, white, fuchsia, green, yellow and blue, this peripheral keeps consumers going for a talk time of six hours. It offers a standby time of sixty days, provided it is put to back to sleep in its case.

The Nokia Luna Bluetooth headset will be made available in 4Q11, for a price of €69 before any local taxes.
