The Nokia Lumia 820 release date has been set to fall sometime during the fourth quarter of this year along with the Lumia 920 PureView Window Phone 8 smartphone. Unlike the latter handset, this stylish device is classified under the company’s mid-range lineup.

A 4.3-inch ClearBlack OLED WVGA Super Sensitive Touch panel spans over its unibody contour with a high brightness mode and sunlight readability enhancements. Adding to it, the handset comes with exchangeable shells that are available in a host of colors. They include shades such as red, yellow, grey, purple, cyan, white and black.

Placed above the screen is a secondary VGA camera which enables users to conduct face-to-face chats while on the move. There is also an 8MP AF snapper with dual LED flash, Carl Zeiss optics and full HD video recording. The device packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor operating at 1.5GHz to assist the Windows Phone 8 platform.

For hoarding purposes, users have 8GB of integrated memory at their disposal. The overall capacity can be further expanded through the built-in microSD card slot. Additionally, the handset even extends support to 7GB of free SkyDrive storage. A 1650mAh battery juices up all the above mentioned components and is compatible with Qi wireless charging.

The Nokia Lumia 820 price and release date details for each country are expected to surface before the sales start. The handset is anticipated to hit select markets by the end of this year.
