The Nokia Lumia 1520 and Lumia 1320 seem ready for launch in India on December 16, going by reports which have been doing the rounds of the internet. According to a PR person we talked to, the company will be revealing something ‘Lumia’ at a press event which is to be held in Delhi.
The official Nokia page for India has only two devices listed as ‘Coming Soon.’ We’re talking about the Lumia 1520 and Lumia 525. So we don’t know what gave rise to speculations about the Finnish manufacturer unveiling the Lumia 1320 too on the said date. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that the company says it’s going to be a BIG day.
If BIG is supposed to indicate a large screen smartphone launch is in the offing, there’s still little reason to expect both the aforesaid Nokia Lumias to make it to India on December 16 even if they appear to fit the bill. The devices are the first pair of phablets to emerge from the company’s stable. Both Windows Phone handsets sport 6-inch displays and colorful exteriors typical of Lumia branding.
