The Xbox One doesn’t plan to come to India for a long time, but Sony has decided to launch the PlayStation 4 in the country next week itself. Only the launch date has come to the fore as yet, nothing has been mentioned regarding the gaming machine’s price or even its shipping date as yet.
Sony has started sending out the invites for the event that has been scheduled to take place in Delhi on December 18, that’s next Wednesday. Sony’s gaming console has been a hit amongst players as the Japanese company managed to sell over a million units on the first day itself. Don’t think Xbox One is far behind, as it too had over a million buyers on the launch day.
The high-end gaming console packs in a punch as an 8-core x863-64 AMD Jaguar single-chip custom processor rests under the hood along with a 1.84 TFLOPS Radeon-based GPU. A hard drive of 500GB capacity has been integrated in it along with 8GB of GDDR5 RAM. The PS4’s communication options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Ethernet amongst others.
When it comes to the price, interested customers in India can rest assured as it will be cheaper than the Xbox One for sure. In the US, the PS4 costs $399, whereas Microsoft’s console sets users in the country back by $499. As for the exact price in India, it will only be disclosed at the launch event.
