The Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 upgrade roll out that commenced on October 2 for the 808 PureView, 603, 700 and 701 has been halted, owing to certain technical problems. As per the manufacturer’s claims, this software will enhance the imaging experience of the foremost device.
The company had begun sending out update for these Symbian smartphones two days ago. But due to certain technical difficulties the roll out has been put on halt till Nokia completes investigating the matter. Going by a post on the official Nokia Conversations blog, the manufacturer will resume delivering the upgrade once the problem is identified and fixed.
This update is said to bring about fresh imaging highlights like the Gallery Grid view that’s displayed when the PureView handset is held in the landscape position. It will enable users to select and discard multiple images simultaneously. The Gallery widget will offer a number of functions including the ability to swipe other photographs as well as share, edit and send them instantly.
Customers will be able to view various details such as the image resolution, ISO value, size of the file, white balance setting and location. If that’s not enough, the pre-installed Nokia Maps application will point out the exact destination from where the picture was captured. Users can take advantage of the fresh reset button within the Creative mode for restoring the default settings with a single tap.
For all the handsets on the update list including the 808 PureView, the new Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 software will introduce browser version 8.3 that aims to provide enhanced HTML5 support. Moreover, users will have an improved keypad for quick text input. When on the road, the company’s Car Mode attribute will allow customers to access device features while driving.
As of now, we have no clue about when the Nokia Belle Feature Pack 2 roll out for the 808 PureView and other phones will resume. But when it does, the release will vary depending on the country and operator variants.
