Nokia Asha 503 goes on sale in India, here’s what it has on offer for you

Following their announcements at the Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi last October, the Nokia Asha 500 and 502 went on sale in December, but the Asha 503 has had to wait until now to finally grab a spot on the shelves. The 3G-supported device can be purchased online in all its color options through the Nokia Shop at Rs 6,683.

Infibeam is currently offering the handset with an 11 percent discount which brings its price down to Rs 6,550. Snapdeal on the other hand, is giving away the Nokia Asha 503 at Rs 6,964. While Flipkart has put up a listing, it’s yet to start selling it. Same is the case with HomeShop18.

Available in white, black, yellow and red, the Nokia Asha 503 comes equipped with dual SIM functionality, and offers standby support on both the slots. Its front houses a 3-inch touchscreen display which features a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

One of its main highlights is its 5MP camera which is accompanied by an LED flash and 3x zoom. Running the Asha platform 1.1 software, it gains its power from a 1200mAh battery which grants it 12 hours of talktime, 35.8 hours of music playback time and 11.7 hours of video playback time. 128MB worth of internal storage has made its way onto the device, apart from a microSD card slot which supports further expansions of up to 32GB.

Like we said, the 3G and Wi-Fi-enabled Nokia Asha 503 has been made available for purchase in India. At the moment, the lowest price at which it is being offered is Rs 6,550, through Infibeam.
