Nokia Asha 502, Asha 503 spotted online, to arrive this year

Successors to the Asha 501, the Nokia Asha 503 and Asha 502 have popped up online and a website has gone ahead and detailed their specifications. Rumor has it that the devices could go official at the World Premier event in Russia and may hit store shelves across the globe in Q3 or Q4 2013, that is, anytime before the end of this year.

An anonymous tipster emailed the following details to a blog called This Is Nokia. First up is the Asha 502, codenamed Pegasus that comes encased in a polycarbonate exterior and offers multi-touch real estate of anywhere between 3.2 to 3.5 inches. The scratch resistant display that boasts of a wide viewing angle, may have a film of Corning Gorilla Glass. This 3G handset has dual SIM card bays, a 5MP rear camera with self-portrait mode, a processor which is faster than that of the Asha 501 and up to 512MB of RAM.

The Asha 503 Lanai has a lot of prototypes and thus the source of the news is not sure about some of the features of the device. For instance, it is not aware of the actual screen size of the gadget and says that it could range between 3.2 and 4 inches. The phone may flaunt a polycarbonate with glass design and as is the case with all Nokia phones, should come in multiple color options.

And what’s more, the 503 will apparently be reinforced with Corning Gorilla Glass and may even support 4G data connections. In addition to dual SIM card slots, it is rumored to tag along a processor running at a speed of at least 1GHz and system memory of not more than 512MB. If the grapevine is anything to go by, a GPU may also find its way into the phone and so will new camera apps from the Finnish manufacturer.

Nokia is yet to confirm the Asha 502 and 503, both of which are supposedly gearing up to make their debuts this year.
