Couple of months ago, Nokia and Microsoft first announced their intentions to collaborate for a new breed of Windows Phone devices. The news has it that Nokia and Microsoft have signed a formal agreement to cement their strategic partnership.

According to Nokia Conversations blog, the companies after several discussions have deployed their teams to work on multi-year product roadmaps. The mobile company also asserts that they will intensify the efforts to take Nokia products based on Windows Phone platform to new topographies coupled with lucrative price points

As part of their alliance, both companies are said to extend enhanced support for developers to enrich the overall smartphone experience and to form a strong ecosystem. Several developers such as Rovio, Ditto and Groupon are already working towards launching numerous applications. For making it easier to join the Windows Phone ecosystem, Nokia has made developer registration free for all its published developers.

Nokia and Microsoft assure to deliver innovative as well as accelerated hardware and software functionalities along with consumer focused services like mapping, gaming, advertising, social media and improved search. Mobile masses can also anticipate fresh features for Symbian and newer Windows Phone capabilities.

Armed with set processes and committed teams, both companies expect to create a deeply integrated partnership to deliver quick results.
