Offering proper bait to all the scrabbling hands waiting to grab the latest from a certain Finnish company, the Nokia 808 PureView India launch has kicked off. There’s no denying it’s the smartphone with a 41MP camera onboard that cannot go unnoticed by most tech buffs.
The phone’s snapper is revved up with Carl Zeiss optics and PureView technology to render high resolution shots. The included sensor is touted to work even in dimly light conditions, which should make for a camera-friendly opportunity at almost any given moment. The company has partnered with Dolby laboratories to offer Dolby headphones and Dolby Digital Plus technology with it.

The Nokia 808 PureView imager delivers 1080p video recording capability and 4x lossless zoom along with access to Nokia Rich Recording. This technology apparently provides sound recording quality similar to that seen in CDs. The other features of the phone include a 4-inch screen and 16GB user memory that’s expandable by 32GB. And connectivity options like DLNA, HDMI, NFC and Wi-Fi stay right in place.
The Nokia 808 PureView India price is marked at Rs. 33,899 and it can be picked up from the country’s retail outlets starting from June 14, that’s tomorrow.
