Nokia is ready to rock the nation with its most awaited music phone, Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. Nokia announces its first touch music device that will provide users with exceptional musical experience. Nokia XpressMusic is an ultimate phone with powerfully packed in with multimedia features.

Nokia puts one step ahead with Nokia XpressMusic that features a large 3.2 inch touchscreen display with 16 million colors. The phone is inbuilt with an accelerometer that takes care of automatic screen rotation activity. The 5800 phone will operate on Nokia’s S60 platform. The phone sports a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, LED flash and video capturing. The phone has a virtual QWERTY keyboard, alphanumeric keypad and a pen stylus that make text messaging very simple and convenient. The phone will support an 8 GB microSD card.

Nokia XpressMusic phone is built-in with Nokia Maps which helps in locating a destination along with a GPS server with voice navigation. The phone also wraps in a handwriting recognition software, haptic touch technology and Mobile Transfer Protocol support. Nokia offers its music store, a part of the OVI which is an online music service. It will enable the users to access this service for all the latest hits and enjoy music at their fingertip. To provide an ultimate music experience to users, Nokia has collaborated with leading international and national music companies; Universal Music Group, Sony BMG, EMI, Warner and Tseries, Big Music and Yashraj respectively. Various applications like Media Bar, Nokia Music PC client and Windows Media Player are also added in it.

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone complemented by a touch interface is priced at Rs. 21,839 and will be available in India by January 2009.
