Wrinkles, white hair and blemishes are the first signs of aging for us. However, a handset first realizes its old age, when it receives a successor. The Nokia 5230 might be going through a similar situation. Engadget had recently penned a post about an image which featured the Nokia 5250. This device is rumored to be the descendant of the 5230.
This new handset appears to have a similar button configuration as compared to its predecessor. However, a major differentiating point here could be the fact that there was barley any bezel encompassing the screen of the 5230, whereas this new device has a much larger one. As a result, it looks as if the 5250’s screen is much smaller than expected.
We assume that the Nokia 5250 would cater to the lower end of the smartphone spectrum. However, if the handset retails with a price tag of say maybe $120 without contract, then it just might be able to grasp the attention of mobile enthusiasts. With this introduction, we wonder if the much appreciated 5230 is going to bid the mobile world adieu.
