The Nextel Motorola i867 Ferrari will hit stores shelves across Brazil tagging along an exclusive Ferrari kit that includes a key ring, a leather case and a vehicle charger, amongst others. It also flaunts the company’s iDEN technology with claims to deliver high performance communication.
Deriving inspiration from the Ferrari 458, the manufacturer has dressed the handset in a red back cover which represents the ‘aura’ of the sports car. A 3.1-inch 320 x 480p TFT touch panel spans across its 58mm x 114mm x 13mm contour. Weighing around 129 grams, the Android-based Motorola device offers a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. The 2GB card bundled with the handset can be utilized for the same purpose as well. Connectivity features like Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi, GPS and micro-USB are also thrown into the mix.
“The handset comes with integrated GPS, corporate connectivity and Wi-Fi. In addition to its differentiated, innovative design, the new smartphone enhances the way users manage their lives, with the practicality of PTT and Android-based technologies,” remarked Wagner Mendonça, iDEN sales director, Motorola Mobility Brazil.
Snap-happy users can employ the 3MP camera that sits on the rear end. Apart from features like 3x digital zoom and fixed focus, it tags along image editing tools such as cropping and rotating. On the entertainment front, users have an MP3 player and a 3.5mm stereo jack at their disposal, while Google Play can be accessed for applications, videos and other downloads. Then there is the Nextel Email app that enables users to configure up to 10 emails accounts.
The Nextel Motorola i867 Ferrari price in Brazil is marked at R$1,499, while the promotional cost stands at R$799, inclusive of applicable data plans.
