News America Marketing proclaims SmartSource Mobile Coupon Program

News America Marketing Logo News America Marketing is making day-to-day activities easier by introducing SmartSource mobile coupons. These coupons will be launched on October 25, wherein SmartSource Magazine coupon insert will be carrying a message, claiming that users can avail additional coupons by texting the word ‘coupons’ to 87415.

Thirteen coupon offers will be sent in reply to users’ handsets along with an opt-in prompt asking for their e-mail address and consent to send them additional mobile offers in future. The coupons are then sent to the e-mail address and users can print them at their convenience via SmartSource.com’s secure printable coupon technology.

“We believe that SmartSource Mobile’s couponing solution will provide the needed reach, scalability and coupon security that the consumer packaged goods community has been asking for in a mobile solution. Digital couponing is beyond the testing/acceptance phase with the CPG community, and it is now News America’s goal to bring this channel to critical mass through multiple consumer contact points,” stated Henri Lellouche, SVP, iGroup, News America Marketing.

“We are pleased to be able to provide an additional savings opportunity to consumers at a time when budgets are still being stretched to their limits. We are committed to continuing to offer coupons wherever consumers prefer to find them, whether in the newspapers, online, in-store, or on their mobile devices,” remarked Chris Mixson, President, News America Marketing.

On the launch day, coupons from Kotex, Huggies, Trident, Jimmy Dean, Kellogg and Tyson will be made available. The savings sum up to $17.50 and range from 50 cents to $3. The coupons will be available from November 8.
