New strategic Legion of the Damned game set to release for iPhone

Legion of the Damned, a new strategic warfare game based on the books of the Legion of the Damned series by author William C. Dietz has been declared by Ace Books and Offworld Games. The game will have the same name as the series and is scheduled to release for the iPhone soon.

The upcoming game’s announcement has been timed to go with the publication of the ninth and final book called, A Fighting Chance, in this bestselling series. The aim of this game is save the fictional planet of Algeron from the Hudathan invasion.

William C. Dietz, throwing light on this new venture commented, “Thanks to the exciting partnership between Ace Books and Offworld Games my Legion of the Damned novels are going to come alive in a very exciting way! From now on Legion fans will be able to read the books and battle each other via the game.”

This game boasts of voiceovers by professional actors, illustrated story art and seventeen varied missions which the players have to pass in order to win. It allows players to create customized battlefield maps and share the result with other gamers.

“We are Legion of the Damned fans—and have been for years. So the chance to create a game based on the universe is a thrill—as is the opportunity to partner in a joint release with Ace Books,” stated Conlan Rios, CEO of Offworld Games.

The tactical warfare game presents gamers with a collection of arms like snipers, landmines, indirect mortar fire, stealth, etc. The online multiplayer option lets gamers challenge rivals across the world or play locally with friends through Hotseat.

The Legion of the Damned game will be available for download from mid October. It can be downloaded for a price of $4.99 from the App Store.
