Etching out a place in an array of budget-friendly tablets unleashed lately, is the all new Reliance 3G Tab. This slate is said to be an upgraded version of the original Reliance 3G Tab launched in India last year.

Maintaining the standard size of tablets, the Reliance device in question sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen offering visuals in resolutions of 1024 × 600p. Its hardware components operating under the hood include 512MB RAM and a 1.4GHz chipset. Sitting prettily on the flip side, is a 3MP snapper along with a front facing sensor for video conferencing. The complete show is fueled by the Gingerbread OS.

Sanjay Behl, Group Head – Brand & Marketing, Reliance, commented, “Having redefined the Tab market in the country with an overwhelming response from our existing customers and in line with our endeavor to develop the device eco system, the new 3G TAB is sure to enhance customer experience on our seamless IP enabled superior 3G network bundled with exciting offers at an affordable price point.”

This mobile device is expected to operate on the company’s IP based 3G network in the country. On the software front, the manufacturer has thrown in a utility called Documents To Go that lends support to PDFs as well as Excel, Powerpoint and Word documents. Giving that extra zing to social networking is the fact that the device enables access to multiple email accounts such as POP3, IMAP and Gmail. It drags along Enterprise Email Solutions like the Lotus Traveler that should render the device business-ready.

The new Reliance 3G Tab India price stands at Rs. 14,499. Its exact release date has not received a mention as of now, but it is slated to arrive via Reliance Exclusive Stores and various sales channels in the country.
