Networks In Motion revealed a new addition for the App store called the Gokivo Navigation Application. Powered by Yahoo! Local it will operate on the company’s carrier class turn-by-turn navigation platform.
Search and content capabilities will be offered by Yahoo! Local. Information on various locations such as bars, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs can be accessed through this service. Besides, searching for places, users can also look for ratings and reviews of popular places. They can even save and share favorite content with friends.

Users can avoid traffic snarls and road work slow downs through real-time traffic notifications that are rapidly obtained on their handsets. The app can also sync with Bluetooth in the car using the headset. This will offer output for music and turn-by-turn navigation audio alerts. Users can manage and listen to music while navigating via the application and the music will automatically fade or pause for voice prompts.
As an exclusive feature users can obtain one-click navigation to the specific address and find address information directly. They can use the multi-touch user interface to map and navigate addresses easily.
The Gokivo application is acquirable through the Apple’s App store on iPhone and iPod touch for a price of $0.99. Full navigation functionality is available through a monthly subscription of $9.99.
