Navigon AG has recently launched the iPhone GPS Navigation for North America. With the help of the MobileNavigator, iPhone 3G equipped with the new Apple OS 3.0 software and iPhone 3G S can be transformed into a complete mobile navigation device.
Previously, Navigon had launched an on-board navigation solution for the iPhone in Europe. This application is highly popular in Europe, where more than ten countries rated it within the top three of all paid applications in the Apple Store in the first week itself.

When the iPhone is turned 90 degrees, the map display switches automatically from portrait to landscape view. Users also have the alternative to navigate directly to an address from saved contacts. When using the phone for navigation, if users receive a call they can go ahead and answer it. The software will resume automatically after the call has ended. Users can easily zoom in and out the map view with two fingers, thanks to the multi touch function of the iPhone which is integrated into the App.
The key features of the Navigon MobileNavigator for the iPhone are Reality View Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant and Day & Night Mode. Navigon’s sophisticated and elegant map views including branded POIs along the route are also featured in this software.
