Google recently released the My Location application for the iPhone 3.0. With this application, Google aims to make searching for information easier.
In order to avail this service, users need to visit google.com from Safari browser and activate the My Location feature. They can update their location, just by clicking on the “update” link. This feature would apparently help the iPhone users while traveling to an unknown place.
Once the setting is done, the Google search results for restaurants, clubs, weather news, etc. would be according to the users’ location. In case users do not wish to get search results based on their location, they simply have to turn off the feature from the preferences tab.
Presently, the Google Search with My Location for iPhone 3.0 is available only in the US and the UK. Users can search with My Location by means of Google Mobile App which is available from the Apple App Store.
