Motorola XT883 arriving through China Telecom

Motorola XT883 China TelecomIt looks like China Telecom has a thing for Motorola with the latter’s Milestone family appearing to do pretty well for itself in China. At least the recent launches seem to be suggesting so. The Motorola XT883 3G smartphone has now been announced as the latest to launch through China Telecom. With a dual-core processor, the phone is said to be the fastest in the Milestone family and should entice users in China.

The company emphasizes on the included dual-core processor that seemingly make the phone much faster than single-core phones. The feature should allow users to work simultaneously on apps, stream media, take calls and surf the internet without compromising on the run-time. The handset is integrated with a permanent number row on top of the QWERTY keypad too for faster typing that’s also accurate without using the ‘Alt’ key.

The XT883 comes with an 8MP rear camera boasting of LED flash and zoom, capable of shooting 1080p videos and a front facing camera for video chats. It has a 4-inch qHD touchscreen display that offers high resolution with easy scrolling and panning of business documents. Adobe Flash 10 lets users surf the web, watch videos and play games. All online tasks can be completed effortlessly with a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. The phone runs on Android Gingerbread and has an internal memory of 16GB and an expandable external memory space of 32GB.

The launch represents a genuine milestone for China Telecom’s partnership with Motorola, and for our combined commitment to bringing great mobile experiences to Chinese consumers.”

Downloading reviews and editing documents, presentations or spreadsheets is now possible with the pre-loaded Quick Office. The phone is business ready with security, password protection, virtual wipe and encryption requirements. Other business features include GAL Lookup for e-mail and calendar access, Citrix’s Go-To-Meeting access and Android world phone calling capabilities in around 200 countries. The phone supports smart technology that adapts to user requirements and changing environments.

The XT883 is powered by China Telecom’s e-Surfing 3G network which fuels the phone with faster and effortless Internet capabilities. Users can gain access to thousands of selected apps with SHOP4APPS, Motorola’s own app market for Chinese customers.

The Motorola XT833 will be available at authorized Motorola resellers and China Telecom stores across China around Q3 of 2011. Pricing details for the phone have not been revealed yet.
