Motorola unveils Motorola VE66 phone with 5 MP camera

Motorola VE66 phone Motorola officially announced its attractive looking slider phone, Motorola VE66. It’s the second phone of Motorola that inherits a 5 MP camera after the Motorola Motozine ZN5. The phone has brilliant appearance with cool features.

Motorola VE66 runs down on Linux operating system. The phone has a 2.2 inch high resolution QVGA display with 256K colors. The phone is powered by a 500 MHz processor. Motorola VE66 features a 5 MP camera with autofocus and LED flashlight that produces high quality images with superb clarity. The phone is integrated with built-in digital image stabilization and red eye reduction features, which ensure the images clicked, appear nice and clear. The user can take advantage of the widgets and get real time information for weather, cricket, latest updates on news and social media that are pre-loaded.

Motorola says, there will be two versions of Motorola VE66 – one will have a quad-band GSM/EDGE support but will not support 3G (for Chinese market), the second version will support UMTS and HSDPA. The phone incorporates Motorola’s Crystal Talk Technology that will guarantee users’ disturbance-free conversations.VE66 phone improves the audio quality by integrating second microphone which evicts the background noise. VE66 phone sports a FastScroll navigation wheel that offers flexibility to scroll down to various menus. The phone is also equipped with a FM radio and also supports Wi-Fi connectivity.

Motorola VE66 will hit the stores in Q4 2008; as such there is no information on its pricing.
