Motorola introduces Skip and Touchless Control apps to boost Moto X-perience

The Motorola Skip and Touchless Control apps have been launched in the interest of the Moto X, the rollout of which has already begun in America and will soon spread across other regions as well. While Motorola has developed the former app exclusively for its flagship, the latter has also been made available for Verizon’s Droid Mini, Ultra and Maxx.

There’s very little we can speak about the Touchless Control app, which isn’t already known to those who have hung on to previous Moto X leaks and news. The moniker itself is quite self explanatory, revealing that the service permits employing the smartphones without any physical contact.

The three magic words in the scenario are ‘OK Google Now’ to set it off and what could count as a key highlight is that the service makes giving commands look as easy as asking a friend for a favor. The NFC-dependant accessory clasps onto a shirt sleeve or a belt and saves users the trouble of punching in the pin code gazillion times a day by unlocking the phone with a single tap. The company is selling the accessory at $19.99 on its official site. Functioning in a similar pattern are Skip dots which can be stuck onto an object instead of being clipped.

Presently, the Skip setup and Touchless Control have both descended into the Google Play store and can be downloaded for free.
