Motorola rolls out Entice W766

Motorola Entice W766 Verizon Wireless has been planning to launch the Motorola Entice from quite some time, finally the Motorola handset (W766), which was previously known as the Harmony is now official.

The flip phone from Motorola features a 2.2” 65k TFT display that offers 176 x 220 pixels resolution. The CDMA handset packages a 2 megapixel fixed focus camera with digital zoom. It supports AAC, H.263, H.264, MP3, MPEG-4, WMA9, eAAC+, WMV v9, MIDI, AAC+ video formats and presents a video playback rate of up to 15 fps. To offer a complete multimedia experience, the handset incorporates V CAST Music with Rhapsody as well as V CAST Video.

The dimensions of the handset are 1.9” x 3.8” x 0.70” and it weighs around 3.6 oz. The W766 is equipped with VZ Navigator, stereo Bluetooth technology and USB 2.0. The mobile phone supports Mobile Email, Yahoo!, MSN Hotmail and AOL along with IM services. The Entice comes with a 940 mAh Li-Ion battery and offers up to 395 hours of standby time and about 330 minutes for a continuous usage. It presents up to 35MB of user memory and can be expanded up to 8GB via a MicroSD card.

The phone is expected to hit the mobile phone markets on September 22, 2009 via Verizon Wireless. The Motorola Entice would probably be retailed for $39.99 with a 2 year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
