Time and again, Motorola has unveiled innovative mobile phones that have indeed served the desired target audiences. The company now expands its FR series with the launch of its two new mobile phones namely, FR68 and FR6000 in India.

Motorola claims that these two rugged and compact mobile computers come with the capability of operating in several local languages. Both the phones are designed to boost the productivity of small, medium and large scale enterprises in the areas such as healthcare, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, retails, transportation and public safety. The FR68 and FR6000 allow mobile workforces to work on business essential enterprise resource platforms as well as access and process important data associated with business while on the go.

With tough exteriors, these new mobile phones can withstand dust, rain and three foot drops on concrete. These handsets offer simultaneous voice and high speed data connectivity and GPS navigation. It runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and is powered by Marvell XScale PXA312 624MHz processor.

Both the phones pack in various other features such as 1D laser scanner, Bluetooth, WLAN, and IrDA. The FR68 incorporates a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus and an optical character recognition function.

Moreover, the company will also offer service from the very first day of the purchase and ensures repair for any damage including the broken displays, damage to keypads or to any internal or external parts.

The FR68 Enterprise Digital Assistant (EDA) and the rugged FR600 are now available via local Motorola PartnerSelect members. Both the devices are expected to retail in the range of Rs 70,000 and Rs 1,00,000.
