Remember the LG GD900 Crystal phone with a transparent keypad? Yes, one of the most innovative devices of this year.The big news is that this LG phone will soon be available via Carphone Warehouse. This UK Based retail chain claims that it will be the first one to offer the GD900 phone.
This phone was first shown off at the Mobile World Congress and it has introduced a new trend in the mobile phone industry. It is said to be the world’s first phone which equips a transparent keypad and is indeed something innovative that was never seen before.
The LG GD900 sports a 3 inch WVGA touchscreen display with 480 x 800 resolution and LG’s S-Class Touch user interface. The phone is enriched with an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash as well as a secondary camera for video conferencing.
Complementing the phone’s aesthetic design, the phone features a transparent slide out keypad which illuminates a cool glow. Moreover, the LG GD900 also includes an accelerometer and handwriting recognition function. The phone supports HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity which lets users share data in wireless mode. It also includes a TV out and Dolby Mobile audio technology.
The phone is expected to hit the shelves in mid May. The pricing details of the phone are yet to be announced.
