The sleek Droid series of smartphones seems to be ever expanding and on a roll, with the latest addition being the Motorola Droid 4 whose official pictures and information regarding its accessories have leaked and made their way to the web. This one comes as a surprise since the Droid Razr had just made its debut earlier this month.
The photos and specs sheet of the upcoming Droid smartphone were obtained by Droid-Life. The website has also displayed a comparison chart which shows the similarities and differences between the four handsets of the Droid series, the Droid 2, 3, 4 and Razr.
The progress of the Motorola range has been clearly outlined in the chart by juxtaposing the various specifications of the smartphones. It shows how the Droid series has advanced from the Droid 2 that was launched last year to the most latest of all, the forthcoming Droid 4.
As per this specs sheet, the fourth version of the Droid handset is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and comes incorporated with 1GB of RAM. It will apparently operate on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and is mostly quite similar to the Razr.
The points of difference between the two are that the Droid 4 is equipped with a smaller 4-inch qHD touchscreen display without Kevlar and features a 5-row slideout keyboard with side-lit keys which promises to provide a speedier and more precise process of typing. Droid-Life has also got its hands on the various accessories of this new handset which include a variety of Lapdocks, keyboards and car docks amongst others.
Although details regarding the official release date and price of the Droid 4 are not yet known, it is most likely to have a December 8 launch.
