Investors can now keep a tab on their investment portfolios while on the move with the latest iPhone app introduced by an independent investment research firm Morningstar.
iPhone users can view performance charts for stocks, funds, exchange-traded funds and indexes. The Morningstar app also enables users to access the Morningstar Market Barometer and data on each of the Morningstar fund categories. Users are also allowed to track market indexes with current news articles and listings of gainers, losers and most actives.
“We’ve added these new features and functionality after listening to feedback from iPhone users, who responded with overwhelming enthusiasm to our mobile app’s initial release in May. These enhancements will help investors with a comprehensive application packaged specifically for their mobile device that provides anytime, anywhere access to the information and research they need,” mentioned Kunal Kapoor, president of individual software at Morningstar.
The iPhone app also enables users to sync, create, and edit their Morningstar.com portfolios and watch lists and research Canadian securities. Further, Morningstar.com Premium subscribers can check out Morningstar’s independent analyst research reports via a subscriber login page. Real-time quotes are accessible just by tapping and turning the device horizontally expands the view to a landscape of additional data points and information.
The Morningstar app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store.
