Mobile World Congress 2008 to host Unique Mobile Entertainment Conference

Mobile Backstage Logo and will.i.am The GSMA along with The Nielsen Company have announced that Black-Eyed-Peas main man will.i.am along with actress and filmmaker Isabella Rossellini will be among the many notable speakers at Mobile Backstage, a brand new mobile entertainment conference scheduled to be a part of this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Mobile Backstage is a one-day event which will include talks by insiders from the music, film, TV, video and gaming industry regarding challenges and opportunities faced by the mobile medium.

Besides, the interactive Mobile Backstage conference will offer a different perspective on the mobile entertainment revolution from some of the top artists, filmmakers, producers, entertainment executives and film festival professionals of today.

The conference will feature keynote interviews, innovative case studies, custom mobile entertainment research and panel sessions covering topics ranging from the creation of content for mobile phones, value chain control and compensation, business models to social networking on mobiles.

Internationally known actress, Isabella Rossellini will showcase and discuss her role in the making of a brand new series of mobile short films titled GREEN PORNO, conceived, written by and featuring Rossellini and produced in association with Sundance Channel.

Black-Eyed-Peas frontman, will.i.am will provide the perspective of a world leading music artist on the potential to reach a global fan base via mobile phones.
