The latest addition to the list of applications which have made themselves compatible with the new iPad is Mobile Mouse 2.1. Designed to transform the tablet into a computer mouse or remote control, the software has now been designed to rub along well with the Retina display of the Apple iDevice.

Once installed on Cupertino’s tablet, the app can be used to control or navigate through Mac, PC or Linux computers. However, these gadgets need to be loaded with the server application for the system. Also, users will require a local Wi-Fi network to establish this connection.

“Whether you want to replace your existing mouse with a multitouch trackpad, or control your home theater PC from the comfort of your couch, Mobile Mouse is the simple, universal solution,” said Ramzi Audeh, CEO of RPA Technology. “And our latest version is optimized for the new iPad Retina display, providing an all new, stunning user experience.”

The latest version of Mobile Mouse for iPad will operate on iDevices running iOS 3.2 or later versions of the Apple platform. Apart from acting as a scroll pad, the app equips the tab to function as a media remote too. Other than this, it can convert the device into a numeric keypad, file browser as well as a foreign language keypad.

Mobile Mouse 2.1 for new iPad can be grabbed for $2.99 from the Apple App Store. Mobile Mouse Pro 2.6.0 for iPhone and iPod is priced at $1.99. An Android compatible version is also available through Google Play.
