Mobile editing in Google Docs now understands 45 languages

Mobile Editing Google DocsGoogle previously unveiled back in November last year an innovative software that gave handset owners the ability to tweak mobile documents in English. Thanks to this inclusion, phone users could easily edit documents while on the go. This offering was also extended to enthusiasts strewn across the globe who own iOS 3.0 and above as well as Android with Froyo devices.

With the ringing in of the new year, we see the company now further expanding this feature to a wider target audience. According to the official Google Mobile blog, mobile editing in Google Docs can now be seen munching down on 44 more languages. This means that handset users can seamlessly edit all their documents anywhere, anytime and now in any language they desire.

As the blog suggests, the languages now supported by mobile editing in Google Docs include Arabic, Danish, Filipino, French, Greek, Hebrew, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Romanian, Serbian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Swedish, Vietnamese and Turkish among others. Indian mobile phone owners residing either in India or anywhere around the globe can take advantage of the various languages spoken in their country. These comprise of Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.

The company offers handset aficionados the ability to set their particular language from their Documents settings located on their desktop computer. This procedure however cannot be conducted directly from the mobile device.
