Any idea what does it take to intensify the passion for music? For sure, music maniacs would be able to answer without dropping a thought. Something similar now paves its way for egging on such ardent desire. Well, the Grammy Award winning producer Dallas Austin and Fried Green Apps have recently proclaimed that Mix Me In has successfully made a spot in the coveted ‘New and Noteworthy’ section of Apple’s App Store.

Quite impressively, the Mix Me In takes rocking and popular songs and breaks them down into different streams, isolating the lead singer, guitar, drums, backup singers, keyboards, and anything else that goes into the song. Users can then mix the streams together any way they want.

“It’s more than an iPhone App, it’s a completely new way for artists to release music,” commented Austin, producer of artists like Gwen Stefani, Michael Jackson, and Pink. “This technology will change how records are produced and how fans listen to music.” Austin worked with the development team behind Mix Me In’s patent-pending technology and is encouraging artists to release original material in the Mix Me In format.

Further, the Mix Me In brings alternate acoustic versions of each stream, allowing users to change a synthesizer to a classical piano or an electric guitar to an acoustic guitar. It even offers music fiends hundreds of variations of a song. Rather, a simple tap on the iPhone permits users to mix their own voice or instruments onto the streams, making the possibilities limitless. Users can now happily upload their mixes to the Mix Me In website for the entire world to hear.

The Mix Me In app is now available to download from the App Store. So get that artist out and be a member of the band.
